Since 2025 I have served as the dean of chapel at Dordt University. Although Dordt is not a church, we offer devotional spaces that nurture our shared faith as a campus community, centered in Christ.

Chapel is not required at Dordt for students or staff, and so I am thankful for the significant segment of our community that shows up from week to week. In this space I will link to message content. You can find the full services here.

As a chapel team, our deep hope is to host worship gatherings marked by theological fidelity, spiritual vitality, and technical excellence.

How do we learn to hear God’s voice when we walk out the door, in the wild of the world, in the thick and thin of everyday life?

To help us with this question, we spend some time in the book of Proverbs. This book orients us to discern God’s direction in everyday life, and we read it backwards. We start with the expansive vision at the end and then go back and trace the way it takes us there.
